Taste note
-
Colour:
Amber

Nose:
On the nose you will get a typical Highland Park nose with aromas of honey, vanilla, soft spices, but also red forrest berries and some sherry. Hints of smoke, mild oak and sandalwood.
-
Palate:
Same as the nose, soft mouthfeel, mild pepper, pinch of salt, heather honey, dried fruits (banana), and sugar sweetness hints of lemon peal and nutmeg
-
Finish:
Actually more black pepper and peat on the finish. A medium long finish, fruity with vanilla and light touch of wood. Great balance between the vanilla and the honey.
-
Conclusion:
Peatier than expected, but with all smoke wrapped up in fruit and vanilla. Supremely well-balanced, with a long and leafy finish. Unfortunately it wasn’t bottled at cask strength.
