Nose:
Beautiful nose with aromas of exhaling honey, citrus and spicy cloves. Sherried and full like fruitcake, then dabs of rich dark chocolate. Aslo in the back raisins, cinnamon, butterscotch, caramel and apple slice. A touch of floral malt.
-
Palate:
On the palate a good and full mouthfeel well rounded and mellow, but not lazy at all. More apple at first, soon joined by clementine segments and honey on toast. A spark of ginger and other spices. Hints of vanilla, caramel and honey.
-
Finish:
Medium long finish with a waxy peels and oak in the end. But also alot of vanilla and caramel with honey. Hints of spices and nutmeg.
-
Conclusion:
A great sweet and delicous single malt by Aberfeldy. Lovely aroma's and flavors. Everything is well balanced and makes you want to pour a bit more and makes you want to sip it again.
