Highland Park The Warrior Collection

The Highland Park Warrior Collection is a collection of 8 bottles that symbolize the viking history and its warriors. Mostly these warriors came from the island Orkney or have a strong contacting with the island. All with a different history and story.

Svein

Released in 2013, Svein is part of The Warrior Series, a collection of single malts created for Duty-Free to both introduce a key figure from Orkney’s Viking history and to demonstrate the impact of cask type on our whisky’s flavour, which is immense.

Svein is named after a Viking warrior who considered Orkney his home. When he wasn’t feasting and drinking in the winter months he would plant the fields and reap them himself when it was time to harvest. In his spare time, he would go back to his plundering and murdering ways in the Hebrides and in Ireland.
