The Macallan concept edition
A collection that fuses the passion behind The Macallan whisky making with innovative art, music and culture. Three bottle will be released for the travel retail market with a limited amount of bottles. Starts off with the concept edition one innovative art, second release will be inspired by music, then the last concept edition that will inspired by culture.
Concept Number 1
A limited edition series which celebrates the world’s visionaries by daring to disrupt the whisky making process. Concept Number 1 is inspired by surreal art and incorporates innovative production techniques.
Created from whiskies matured first in sherry-seasoned oak casks and then for an equal time in ex-bourbon casks, this single malt is crafted to explore maturation more imaginatively.

Concept Number 2
Released at the end of 2019 and created exclusively for global travel retail, this is the 2nd of 3 whiskies that will complete the Concept Series. The second release celebrates Music.
The idea for the bottle came from Macallan Whisky Maker Steve Bremner who by day blends whisky and by night mixes music as a DJ.

The whisky itself has been matured in Sherry-seasoned casks, and then ex-Bourbon barrels.
