Taste note
-
Colour:
Deep amber
-
Nose:
Ripe red apple at first before thick crème brûlée takes charge with apricot, custard and a little Buttercup cough syrup.
-
Palate:
Rich spices, creamy vanilla, caramelised apples and orchard fruit and fresh black cherries, cocoa powder, brightened with a zing of citrus.
-
Finish:
Medium long finish with rich cocoa and baking spices.
-
Conclusion:
The 16 year old release from the Royal Brackla single malt Scotch whisky range, and perhaps the pick of the bunch with an abundance of spicy Oloroso character. It's also beautifully presented, with a particularly large punt.
