Very good

Taste note

  • Colour:

    Amber

  • Nose:

A warm and creamy malty nose with lots of aromas of new wood, cooked mash, sweet luscious pear, ripe yellow apple. Hints of vanilla, caramel, nutmeg, honey and crème brûlée.

  • Palate:

On the palate you will get an oily and mouth coating warm taste with tingling sensation on the tongue.
Flavors of warm creamy maltiness, caramel, vanilla, honey, toffee, nutmeg, comes to mind.
Hint of sour, chocolate, crème brûlée, wood spices, cracked black pepper and bitter ginger.

  • Finish:

Medium long finish with lots of maltiness, caramel and toffee.
But also noticeable the wood spices, cracked black pepper and ginger bitterness in the end.

  • Conclusion:

A young but balanced single malt whisky with lots of playful new wood expressions.
This young single malt has a lot to offer in its taste and flavor. In the aroma department its aromas are balanced but delicate.
Cant wait what Cley Distillery has planned in the future.
