Remarkable

Taste note

  • Colour:

    Deep amber

  • Nose:

Its gives you a beautiful and delicious nose with lots of deep citrus notes like fresh peeled oranges, tart cherry, spent coffee grounds, marmelade, nutmeg, raisins, roasted almonds and vanilla.

  • Palate:

Sweet initially and quite rapidly tart. Slightly smooth mouthfeel. Unripened grapes, oak, dark chocolate, caramel, raisins, bitter orange rind, coal dust, roasted almonds. Quite dry and almost sharp finish. Lingering bitter notes of citrus zest and vanilla.

  • Finish:

Medium to Long finish, with nutty spices, richness, vanilla, chocolate, malted barley and log fire finish.

  • Conclusion:

Gives you just a bit more complexity than the 12 year old. The few years extra really helps mature and give that much more flavor to the whisky. The 12 year is great but the 15 year is remarkable. Also the maturation and finish of this whisky makes it a joy to drink and enjoy with friends.
